On April 7, 2018 a group of enthusiastic women (and a young man) came together to start a sewing guild. This guild has blossomed into a sisterhood of Quilty Sisters that have seen the group celebrate the highest of highs and support one another through the lowest of life’s lows. What remains constant: the joy of the art of quilting and the support and love from each member of the guild.
In its very first year, the guild held its first quilt exhibit celebrating powerful women both personal and prominent in the community. Held at St. Luke Methodist Church, every member showcased their talent through colorful fabrics and the applique technique. Many exhibitions, collaborations with other guilds, retreats, and competitions later, the group is still going strong. The joy of quilting and the creativity of the sisterhood has only gotten better, deeper, and stronger.
This second exhibition at Indiana Landmarks runs from October 3 – November 21, 2025. Indiana Landmarks is located at 1201 Central Ave, Indianapolis, IN. Visitors are invited, free of charge, Monday – Friday, from 8:30am – 5pm in the Rapp Family Gallery on the lower level.
